A native of Westport Point, Massachusetts, Commander
Reppert graduated from Phillips Academy Andover in 2002, the United States Naval Academy in 2006 with a Bachelor of
Science in History (Honors), and a Master of Arts in Security Studies from Georgetown
University’s School of Foreign Service in 2006. She recently graduated from the Naval War
College’s College of Command and Staff with a Master of Arts in Defense and
Strategic Studies and currently serves as military faculty in the War Gaming
Department of the Center for Naval Warfare Studies at the Naval War College.
A Surface Warfare Officer, Commander Reppert’s first sea
assignment was aboard USS LASSEN (DDG
82) where she served as the Gunnery Officer and Auxiliaries Officer as part of
the Forward Deployed Naval Forces based in Yokosuka, Japan. She subsequently
served as Navigator and Administrative Officer in USS CARTER HALL (LSD 50), as
Operations Officer in USS TRUXTUN (DDG 103), and completed an early command
tour as Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of USS ARDENT (MCM 12).
Her shore tours include serving as a team leader for
Maritime Civil Affairs Team (MCAT) 202 and Civil Military Operations Planner in
support of Naval Forces Africa, the Command-At-Sea Directorate of Surface
Warfare Schools Command, as a military faculty member at the Naval War College
in Newport, RI.
Commander Reppert’s personal awards
include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal
(with three Gold Stars), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and multiple
unit and service awards. She is married to Commander Matthew Garcia-Bragiel,
also a Surface Warfare Officer, and they have two children.
